Our Story

EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE TO DISCOVER THEIR TRUE POTENTIAL

Since 1993, AMIkids Tallahassee has empowered young people to discover their life paths and believe success is possible. Originally operating as a staff-secure day treatment facility, we now offer an after-school prevention program that focuses on education and workforce, job placement, and behavior and skills training. By providing career pathways and industry-recognized certificates, we equip students aged 11-17 with the skills they need to succeed and contribute to our community. Through genuine care, real relationships, and a sense of family, we empower young people to achieve success.

Services

What We Offer

COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS

Community-based programs offer daily services to youth and families, with youth returning home each day if programming takes place outside of the home. We offer eight unique services with our community-based programs.

After School

After school programs offer a variety of activities such as tutoring, career readiness, and technical training to students during after-school hours. AMIkids After School programs provide students with comprehensive programming and support services to engage youth in positive opportunities that prepare them for success.

PROGRAM ENHANCEMENTS

Program Enhancement Services may be provided as standalone or supplementary to a program.

Career and Technical Education

  • The AMIkids Workforce Development Model, for ages 16-24, utilizes a combination of school-based and work-based learning to help youth learn job readiness skills, earn industry-recognized certifications, and transition to the workforce.

Functional Family Therapy (FFT)
